I didn’t originally have dkms installed so it took me a while to understand that it was missing and that I had to install with apt-get. It worked and all was well until I got this syntax error “bash: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'”. It appears every time I (try to) run the command “sudo dkms install -m psmouse -v elantech-x551”. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong and how I could fix this? After 3 hours of searching, and installing god knows how many “solutions”, I found this.
