We have an app developed with C#. It generate some Crystal report and print out it to printer queue. It works finewith HP universal printing pcl6 v5.8.0 driver.

I am developing new reports using CR 11. The reports are part of an ERP system. After a report deployment to production environment users can access them by using ERP's interface. I am using dev. Pc for designing the reports and my default printer is e.g.

Last couple of weeks users have a problem when trying to print certain reports. When they click print button the default printer is the development printer DEV PRN1 not the client's default one. This is not the case for all users just some of them. Apk Whacap Buat Hp Black Berry Java 9220.

Does anyone know what is causing CR not to pick up the right(default) printer. The same users can print other reports with no problems. Their Windows settings are seems to be ok. The application does not have functionality to allow users to choose printer from the list prior to printing - just to choose number of pages to be printed. Also, I noticed that the same problem is with landscape oriented reports as well as regular A4. So far I came up with a workaround: - after development a report - set Printer settings (No Printer), save and deploy. Then when a user wants to print the report the print button is grayed out, clicks printer settings, un-check 'no printer', then hit print button and then CR picks up the right printer(user's default printer).

All printers are network printers. If someone has an idea how to solve the problem please respond.

I realize this post has been dormant for about a month but, here is one idea. The below is my experience, and based on objective facts as well as my subjective interpretation. CRXI saves the printer used when developing the report to the report itself. Then if a user has access to that printer, it is used. If a user does not have access to the printer saved within the report, then the local default printer is used. My workaround has been to install a printer on the designer's machine that will not be on any other machines (in my case, it is even an imaginary printer that does not physically exist at any of our locations.i chose an Imagewriter II driver to be the designer's default printer.) Now before saving a report, the printer is changed to the Imagewriter II and when any other user opens the report it uses their local default printer to print. I am a VB programmer, making report is a mess, anyway you might wanna check your printer icon, if its right printer and default printer which CR picks it up.

Normally printer sometimes clogs itself by too much documents on the printer cue. You might wanna check your printer spooler and reset it. There should be a way to define a printer in CR but i will find out for you. Ive made a report in Cold Fusion and i can defined the orientation of the paper. Landscape or portrait. I check it many times. Some of the reports I developed just don't want to pick up user's default printer and use my ( development one ) instead. That is weird:).

Most of them works fine. I tried to put wider margins, change fonts to TTF etc. But it still not working properly. When I made some changes to the one report ( put dummy field.) and deploy it to the prod. It works fine. It picks up right printer when user runs it. But when I made the same changes on a different one it just does not pick up the def.

Instead it retains mine, dev one. There must be something related to CR settings but I just can't figure out what:( As I mentioned before I can't change the code behind the app that runs the reports.

I am using CR XI developers edition, like stand alone app. Nama Ringtone Hp Ubed. For designing reports.

The ERP system is Synergetic. The system is used for schools administration, students information maintenance etc. The system has capability to design entry forms for reports. The backend is SQL Server 2005. The process of designing reports requires designing store proc, views etc. As underlying data source for reports, then report design and deployment to the prod. Srv( copying *.rpt files).
